Why The Leaves Fall

Last month, I was out mowing my lawn. About halfway through the job, I spotted something unusual (at least for southern California) nestled in the grass. It was a single maple leaf. I picked it up and examined it closely. The details on its surface and stem made me smile and shake my head in amazement. You see, a few weeks earlier, we’d decided to produce a new video on the science and wonder of autumn leaves. Coincidence? I don’t think so. My discovery confirmed we’d made a good choice of subject matter.
